Bio
Sabrina Pratt is a Santa Fe, New Mexico-based ceramic artist whose work reflects a passion for design and handcrafted objects. Sabrina’s artistic path was complemented by a career in arts administration, economic development, and tourism, during which she continued to explore ceramics. This blend of practical experience and artistic exploration led her to pursue formal education in the field, ultimately earning a Ceramics Certificate from Santa Fe Community College. In recent years she has expanded her artistic repertoire by studying figurative sculpture, which has allowed Sabrina to delve deeper into the human form and the narratives it can convey.
About My Work
My outrage—an emotion that continually fuels my work—surfaces every time I read the daily news. The ongoing turbulence across the globe shapes the direction of my art, guiding me toward figurative forms that hold the tension of an angry or questioning reaction. Lately, I’ve been experimenting with new approaches to deepen and reinforce the emotional charge in the faces of my sculptures, searching for ways to let those inner states speak more clearly through clay.
